Service Description: The 2000 – 2008 Population Change indicates the annual compound rate of change from 2000 to 2008. Total Population is the total number of residents in an area. Residence refers to the “usual place” where a person lives. Total Population for 2000 is from the U.S. Census 2000. Total Population for 2008 is estimated with ESRI’s unique methodology blending GIS and Statistical technology with a unique combination of data sources (ESRI Demographic Update Methodology: 2008/2013). ESRI 2008/2013 Demographic Data – ESRI analysts update more than 15,000 demographic attributes for eleven geographic levels by combining detailed information from multiple sources.
