Forest Canopy cover from FAO, obtained from USGS and shown in bands of 10% density, except in lower 48 U.S. States and Hawaii, which use 30m USGS NLCD Forest Canopy in 10% bands. Country boundaries are shown, with largest countries labeled. Sub-national political units are shown, with largest labeled. Largest cities are shown as light orange-beige polygons and labeled. Largest named landforms and marine water bodies are labeled; source is ESRI. In U.S. USGS NHDPLus flowlines are shown based on mean annual flow as determined by upstream drainage; generalized by ESRI. Global freshwater hydrography from AND (Automobile Navigation Data).
